Hi, we’re your hosts, Captain Mike Nielsen and Captain JD Richey. Together, we have over 60 years combined experience as professional boat skippers.

We are both US Coast Guard licensed captains, and more importantly, we are dads too, so we are absolutely thrilled to share with your family our deep love for Lake Tahoe and its critters.

Capt. Mike has lived in Tahoe and has run a fishing charter here since the mid 1990's. To say he knows Lake Tahoe would be an understatement! Capt. JD's family came to Tahoe in 1905, so his ties with the area are strong as well. JD has been a fishing captain since 1998 and has run boats from Tahoe to the California Delta to Alaska and beyond.
